The ColorWorks Staff

The ColorWorks team, from left to right, is Jon, Connie, Bob, Diana, and Skip. Come in and say hello!

Connie

Connie is a native Topekan. She graduated from Topeka High School and was an independent business owner for nine years prior to joining ColorWorks. Connie is the Office Manager and also works with customers on color choice and design. She has worked with with ColorWorks now for 12 years She and her husband Mel share passions of racing, car shows, and taking road trips on their motorcycles. Connie loves cooking and chasing her grandchildren.

Jon

Jon is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School. He is a Product Specialist and has worked at ColorWorks for the past 15 years. Jon knows about every product sold at ColorWorks as he has personally used most of them. When he's not at the store, Jon plays co-rec softball and volleyball, enjoys working on his family farm, and he the #1 fan at his sons' sporting events and activities.

Skip

Skip is a graduate of Topeka West High School. He has been in the paint business for 10 years; the past two years with ColorWorks. Skip is a Color Specialist and specializes in paint and stain matching. In his spare time, Skip enjoys playing co-rec softball and volleyball, and caring for his Doberman Pincher, Krazy. Skip is a certified caterer and he loves to cook and share his creations with the staff.

Cynthia

Cynthia Matzek. Cynthia has 37 years experience in the paint industry and is well-known in the Topeka area for her color expertise.  She assists customers coordinate interior and/or exterior colors in their homes. She provides information on faux finishes, wallpaper choices, and the correct type of paint to use for each project. Cynthia is also available for in-home consultations.

 

Bob & Diana Swafford

Owners of ColorWorks, Bob and Diana Swafford, come from diverse backgrounds. Diana began her career as a high school English teacher in the Shawnee Heights school district. She left after 30 years and entered the corporate setting at MC Industries. Later she re-entered the world of education as an instructional coach in the Topeka 501 School District. Bob grew up working in his father's lumberyard, gaining his experience in construction and painting. He has more than 30 years experience in the sales and marketing industry. Bob is an active Shriner and is known by many children in the area as "Willie the Clown." Outside of work, Bob & Diana enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, and attending their grandsons' activities.
